We at St. Paul’s Church invite you to join us in forming a new congregation here in Brockton.

Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007 -- 9:00 am to 2:00 p.m., at St. Paul's Church.

AGENDA:

• to form the leadership team for the new congregation -- a new congregation that will embody the diversity of Brockton
• to envision goals -- where is the Holy Spirit leading us?
• to set a time line for strategies -- if we want to grow, first we plan

We are missionaries for the 21st century, following the good example of people who founded this church in 1871.

We believe that the future of the Episcopal Church in Brockton rests in a similar missionary effort, and so people from neighboring congregations join us again. Just as in the 19th century, the new church was tailored to meet the needs of an immigrant community, in the 21st century our new church must be tailored to meet the needs of the present community. Brockton is still an immigrant city, but missionary efforts on behalf of the Episcopal Church toward this community will require a new imagination and creative effort.
